The eighth annual Big Sustainability and Innovation Expo took place at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton earlier this month with the support of Hampshire housebuilder Barratt Homes.
Organised by The Southern Sustainability Partnership, the event welcomed more than 500 guests from businesses across the country hoping to pick up tips on their net zero journeys.
As sponsors, Barratt Homes sent their Technical and Innovation Director, Oliver Novakovic, to deliver a keynote speech to the crowds.
“My team and I are researching new technologies and methods of building that will help drive Barratt’s journey to net zero”, he said.
“Today has been a great opportunity to share ideas and learn from other professionals across the country.”
With over 100 exhibition stands, a varied lineup of speakers and a series of educational workshops, the expo was warmly received by visitors.
Lynda Daniels from The Southern Sustainability Partnership added: “The expo is dedicated to supporting corporate and public sector sustainability, and we were delighted to have Barratt Developments as sponsor.
“Our ethos for both now and the future is so well aligned that it made sense to join forces, and the housebuilder’s support enabled us to reach out to many more organisations ahead of this year’s event.
“A huge thank you to Barratt and to Oliver, who went down a storm in our 2023 Keynote Speaker Theatre.”
