Staff, customers and partners at Southampton’s Connect It Utility Services (CIUS) came together this Christmas to support a cause close to home.

The company’s record-breaking Christmas raffle raised over £1,000, funding the donation of multiple trolleys packed with essential food, drinks and toiletries to The Food Centre in Hedge End and – new this year – Hope City in Weston.

“This is something we look forward to every year,” said Laban Giles, managing director of CIUS.

“It’s our way of making a positive impact and giving back to the communities where we work and live.”

Items donated included tinned meat, pasta, rice, noodles, UHT milk and other staples essential for families in need, split equally between the two food banks.

The raffle was held at the company’s Foundation House headquarters last December.

Prizes ranged from luxury hampers and signed football shirts to overnight hotel stays, race day tickets, an iPad, theatre tickets and more – all generously donated by CIUS’s customers, suppliers and partners.

“We were overwhelmed by the generosity of our team and partners,” Laban added.

“The raffle brought everyone together and allowed us to make a real difference for those who need it most.”

CIUS provides comprehensive multi-utility solutions across the UK.
