Construction at VIVID‘s Victory Quay development in Tipner is progressing well, with a major new phase now underway.
Following extensive site remediation and decontamination efforts, the sea wall defence project has been launched.
This initiative aims to protect not only the local Tipner community but also wider coastal areas from the increasing risks posed by rising sea levels and flooding.
The new sea wall will provide vital protection for residents today and ensure a safer environment for future communities, as well as safeguarding local wildlife.
This marks a major milestone in boosting the resilience of the shoreline and protecting Tipner’s infrastructure, properties, and ecosystems.
The wall will encircle the site and improve existing defences near the Mountbatten Centre. Completion is expected by mid-2025.
Tristan Samuels, Group Development & New Business Director at VIVID, highlighted the company’s dedication to safety, saying: “We are committed to the safety and well-being of local residents and want to ensure every step of this development creates a community that is safe for all for years to come.
“Our coastal areas are essential to our economy, environment, and way of life. This new sea wall is a testament to our commitment to protecting these vital assets and preparing for future challenges.”
