As Bargate Homes looks to attract prospective buyers at their £32 million Hamblewood scheme in Hedge End, the housebuilder chose to enlist the help of Shedfield-based designers Little Barn Door.

Little Barn Door logoFounder Natalie Evans and her team got to work on a semi-detached show suite to give visitors a flavour of the new development, which features 123 three- and four-bedroom family houses ranging from £385,000 to £460,000.

With a spacious kitchen diner and large living room leading onto a turfed garden and patio, the property was designed with a young family or professional couple in mind.

Natalie EvansNatalie said: “The beauty of a staged home is that it shows how the space can be lived in and used.

“The interior of the home has nods to the ancient forest opposite the development from the wooden furniture and the green shaker kitchen, which is paired with earthy tones, matte black iron fittings, and contemporary art.

“It has been wonderful to work with Bargate Homes to create this relaxed interior, and we look forward to creating more staged homes with the team in the future.”

Kitchen dinerLike all of the Hamblewood properties, the new show home is kitted out with Google Nest learning themostats, EV chargers and fibre broadband.

Bargate has also collaborated with the architects and planners at RPS Group to ensure that the development complements Hedge End’s traditional residential properties.

The scheme will introduce new public open spaces to the area, with green buffer zones along the southern boundary to help maintain wildlife corridors and native tree and shrub planting for local bird populations.

It has already received plenty of interest and only 42 of the 123 homes remain up for sale.
