Southampton site manager Jon Fuge, 37, has picked up his second Seal of Excellence from the National House Building Council for the quality of his work.
It takes him up to a whopping seven NHBC award wins over the years, with five Quality Awards to add to what is now a pair of Seals.
Jon’s been overseeing work at Vistry Group’s Boorley Park development for the past three years, during which time his team has stayed largely the same.
“My name is on the award, but I couldn’t do it without the team”, said Jon.
“It’s about building relationships, trust and camaraderie.
“We have a sense of pride and a sense of teamwork here, and we work hard.
“We know what we expect, and that is high standards and quality.”
Jon also paid tribute to Assistant Site Manager Nick Connors, saying: “He’s been with me the whole way, and is always by my side.”
The NHBC runs its Pride in the Job awards every year, with more than 8,000 sites across the country automatically entered into the competition.
444 managers reached the Quality Award standard this year, with 51 Quality Award winners in the South West region.
Of those, just 17 also picked up a Seal of Excellence – one of them being Jon.
He and the team are now wrapping up their work at Boorley Park, which is in its final phase.
“It gives me a sense of pride to see it through and win this award”, he added.
