The boatshed at Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour on the Beaulieu River is to undergo a £1.5 million redevelopment.

Buckler's Hard logoThis comes following a £2.5 million investment from Beaulieu Enterprises, which also operates the nearby motor museum, to reconfigure and extend the marina.

Now their attention has turned from the water to the boatyard, with plans to provide new waterfront offices, workshop units and meeting rooms – available to rent from Spring 2025.

Russell Bowman, managing director of Beaulieu Enterprises said: “The redevelopment of the boatshed will create spaces with panoramic views across the Beaulieu River, which will make ideal offices and meeting rooms for marine businesses to relocate.

“After recently celebrating 50 years of Buckler’s Hard Yacht Harbour, this is our exciting next phase to ensure that we provide the best facilities to match our services and take us forward into the next chapter.”

Beaulieu Enterprises expects high demand and is already taking notes of interest for offices, meeting rooms, workshops and boat refit facilities.

Preference will be given to tenants who provide value-added services for owners of boats on the marina’s 200 walk-ashore pontoon berths and 300 river moorings.

Luxury facilities have already been built as part of recent upgrades, with harbour master Wendy Stowe and her team welcoming more than 10,000 visitors a year to stay at the harbour.

The Beaulieu River community is also treated to a packed events calendar, and there’s a restaurant, pub and tea shop all on the doorstep of Buckler’s Hard.
