There’s plenty going on at Romsey & District Chamber of Commerce & Industry over the next couple of months.

Headed up by Ali Fielder, founder of Romsey graphic design studio Bongo Creative, the chamber is a network of local businesspeople and runs regular events for the town and surrounding areas.

Below are some of those upcoming events…

Your Views Needed for the Future of Romsey – Wednesday 5 June

The chamber is currently working with Test Valley Borough Council and Romsey Future to discuss community facilities in the town.

As part of these discussions, they’re set to hold a consultation with a variety of groups to seek views on what facilities should be provided in Romsey and the wider area.

The local community is invited to Crosfield Hall in Romsey at 6pm on Wednesday 5 June for the consultation, with refreshments provided. The event should last no longer than two hours.

Cross Chamber Connections Lunch – Thursday 27 June

Returning for the second time after a successful launch in February, this event will bring together businesses and chamber members from Romsey, Andover and Salisbury. Hampshire Chamber will also be in attendance.

The aim is to strengthen ties, foster partnerships and create a dynamic network of businesses across the region.

The event takes place at the Army Flying Museum in Stockbridge from 12.30 to 2pm on Thursday 27 June.

Entry is £30 for chamber members and £40 for non-members. Tickets are limited so early booking is recommended, though a similar event is planned for the future.

Romsey Brew and Business – Wednesday 17 July

This breakfast meeting will feature networking and updates from local groups including Romsey Chamber, Romsey Town Council and the police.

The breakfast will be hosted at Romsey Town Hall from 7.30 to 9am on Wednesday 17 July. It’s free and open to both members and non-members, with refreshments provided by Reeve the Baker.

Participants are encouraged to register a place for catering purposes. Future events are scheduled for September and November.

Summer Drinks Party – Thursday 18 July

Back for another year, Romsey’s Summer Drinks Party will once again be catered by Cork & Bean and Flack Manor, with sweet and savoury bites throughout the evening.

DJ George Winfield will provide the tunes, while local businesses have generously donated a host of prizes for the raffle – all in aid of this year’s local charity, Jane Scarth House, the town’s cancer support centre.

Tickets are £25 for chamber members and £30 for non-members.
