The Tithe Barn at The Elm Tree Ringwood was buzzing last week for the launch of the first ever Ringwood Business Awards ceremony.
The lunchtime event saw finalists, business leaders, sponsors and a number of VIPs – including Mayor Cllr Gareth DeBoos and his wife Cllr Mary DeBoos – coming together to celebrate successful businesses in the area.
The Ringwood awards, organised by Marketing West Events, mark the first entry into Hampshire for the format which has seen success across Dorset.
Nigel Reeve, Marketing West Events Director, said: “We have had a fantastic response to these first awards in Ringwood from both entrants and sponsors.
“The many independent businesses in the area contribute to the town’s unique identity making it such a great place to live work, to shop and to visit and the awards aim to promote these businesses and the town”.
Amongst those gaining awards were local recruitment company The Work Shop, design agency Halo Associates, HR and Training company Jaluch, IT company entrust IT Group, Frampton’s Bar, Eden Funeral Directors, A-One Insurance, The Cellar, and Aspire Jobs. Overall Business of the Year was won by Smarter Technologies Group who also won Business of the Year with 11+ Employees.
The local businesses supporting these first awards as sponsors included Hub Chartered Accountants, Ellis Jones Solicitors, NFU Mutual, Dawsongroup Finance, Halo Design, Your Mortgage Connection and Action Coach.
