Lambert Smith Hampton’s South Coast team has been named as the most active and successful commercial property agency in the region.

The accolade follows top awards for its industrial and office transactions in the recent CoStar Awards.

The LSH team has transacted well over 100 occupational deals in the business space sector worth more than £25 million (excluding investment transactions) in the region over the past 12 months.

It has acted for high profile schemes including Lakeside North Harbour in Portsmouth, Langstone Park in Havant and Southampton Science Park.

CoStar rankings are based on a detailed analysis of the thousands of deals collated by analysts during the course of 2023.
In the industrial category, LSH topped the rankings for both most active disposal agent in terms of sq ft and number of deals in the region, transacting 731,000 sq ft of space across 67 deals.

Meanwhile the office team led the charts for most active disposal agent in volume of sq ft, concluding some 112,000 sq ft of deals.

The CoStar wins follow triumphs in the EGi Awards, run by leading real estate publication Estates Gazette.

LSH was ranked highest in the region for office and industrial deals by sq ft, and the agency that had completed the highest number of office deals.

Andy Hodgkinson, Senior Director and Head of Office at LSH, said: “We’re pleased to be honoured as industry leaders in the region and proud to again be recognised as the most active agent.

“This huge amount of activity shows that there are significant opportunities for landlords and occupiers alike in a region that is thriving as a key economic gateway for the UK.

“Well located properties are being refurbished by landlords to meet the demands for sustainable buildings from the occupier market and leases are being agreed at record rents in lieu of this significant investment.”

Key deals undertaken by LSH’s agency teams during 2023 include Radial 27 Segensworth, a 71,542 sq ft warehouse let on behalf of Urban Logistics REIT to PFSweb, and 1 Royal London Park, a 59,900 sq ft of warehouse let on behalf of Royal London Asset Management to Oriental Merchant, achieving a new headline rent and being fully let prior to completion.

Other highlights include a hat-trick of office leasing deals in 2023 at Stoneham Park in Eastleigh and close to Southampton Airport, where the scheme is now fully let.

Over 72,200 Sq Ft of space was let at Lakeside North Harbour on behalf of Portsmouth City Council, acknowledging it as one of the best office campuses in the region.

Dan Rawlings, head of LSH’s south-east industrial agency team, said: “The Egi and CoStar awards are a benchmark of agency performance given that they are based on transactional volumes.

“We are pleased to have featured so highly across a range of markets in the south-east and to see to our hard-working agency teams recognised in this way.”

LSH has a network of eight offices across the south-east and south-coast market.
