More than 80 business leaders from Hampshire and the surrounding areas took part in a unique networking and empowerment event which saw them breaking arrows with their own body weight.
As part of Southampton-based business networking organisation Bizpedia’s national conference event, arrowheads were placed into the necks of participants who then fearlessly walked towards an instructor holding the other end – causing the arrows to break under the force.
The workshop was being run by Jeff Shrimpton, Founder and Managing Director of ‘Evolution Empowerment Events’, which helps people identify and overcome their fears and limiting beliefs.
Those taking part were encouraged to write the issues that were holding them back or stopping them from being the best version of themselves on the arrows before they were destroyed.

Evolution Empowerment Events also offers other activities such as fire walking and board breaking.
Jeff said that he was delighted to see how people were positively impacted by the experience: “Nothing beats the feeling of being able to help others escape their comfort zone so they can unlock their true potential, and leave feeling capable and courageous.
“Breaking these kinds of arrows using your neck is a perfectly safe but very exhilarating activity, that leaves participants feeling full of confidence and adrenaline.
“All of the activities organised by Evolution Empowerment Events are led by a qualified instructor and should not be replicated at home.”
Briscoe PR director Kevin Briscoe, from Fareham, took on the challenge, he said: “I’m so grateful for this unique experience, which has left me feeling reflective and empowered.”
