In the midst of the cost-of-living crisis, one Alton business is making life a little easier for thousands of shoppers – and they’re not doing too badly themselves.
Jisp is celebrating £2.5 million in retail sales through its Scan & Save mobile app, with user savings topping £1 million. Almost half of that has come during this year alone.
The app partners with independent retailers to provide a tailored loyalty and reward scheme, offering money-off vouchers and rewards to shoppers who keep coming back to local stores.
It’s free for retailers and helps to drive increased sales, basket size and spend from shoppers, while also being unique among other platforms in that it shares brand investment with the shop owner.
Ilann Hepworth, Managing Director of Jisp, said: “The current crisis is driving even greater interaction with platforms and solutions offering value propositions.
“Key staples have seen price rises of over 30 per cent in the last two years.
“Scan & Save is seeing unprecedented interest and interactions because it enables shoppers to treat themselves with savings on big brands they might have traditionally traded out of in tougher financial times.”
Interest is building even weekly, as Jisp’s data reveals an 82 per cent boost in downloads for the week beginning 7th August on the previous seven days, along with a 69 per cent increase in new users.
