Trethowans in Winchester have welcomed two new recruits alongside another two senior promotions, ending the year on a high note.
Last month the firm welcomed Head of Private Client Leyla Whitlingum, whose expertise covers trust creation, contentious probate and the administration of complex estates.
Leyla has previously acted in both will disputes and inheritance act claims.
She arrived alongside Charlotte West-Withers, who joined as Senior Associate on the agricultural and rural property team.
Charlotte’s made her return to Trethowans after training with the firm. Her career since then has seen her dealing with large rural landholdings, high net-worth individuals and institutional landowners.
Meanwhile, Laura Bell has made Partner on the family team as a collaborative practitioner and mediator, while Lorna Secker is now Head of Residential Property in Winchester, bringing her extensive local knowledge to the role.
Emma Wilders-Pratt, Head of Trethowans Winchester, said: “We’re pleased to welcome Leyla and Charlotte to our team.
“Since the Winchester office launched in 2021 we’ve seen a headcount growth of 37 per cent, and we’re still looking to recruit further into the office.
“I’d also like to congratulate Laura and Lorna on their promotions.
“It’s been an exciting year for Trethowans, which saw us recognised by Chambers as a leading firm for private wealth and high value residential work.
“We’ve also become the Strategic Partner for the Theatre Royal Winchester.
“After such a successful year, we look forward to seeing what 2024 has to bring.”
