A fast-growing network is to hold its inaugural meeting in Southampton next month with an open invitation for businesses to take part.
Get Connected was launched by Kristy Roff and Suzanne Evett, of the outsourcing agency Get Ahead, and their local Metro Bank.
They were looking for a different way to network that was more relaxed and informal but still bringing businesses together.
The inaugural meeting in Reading in February 2023 was swiftly followed by Basingstoke and then monthly events in Colchester and Guildford.
This month Get Connected will launch in Newbury followed by Southampton on Wednesday February 7 – and then the first Wednesday of each month.
The free social meet-up is at Metro Bank in West Quay from 9am to 10.30am.
Everyone is welcome with no locking out of professions or expectations around visitors or referrals.
There are no elevator pitches and visitors are encouraged to stay for as long or as short as they like.
Lisa Middleton, Regional Director for Get Ahead Wessex, said: “I am delighted to launch Get Connected Southampton.
“Get Connected is a great way to grow your local business community in a simple, relaxed, informal setting.
“You make what you want it to be for you.
“Having seen the success of Get Connected events in Reading, Basingstoke and Guildford, I look forward to bringing the same connection to the thriving Southampton business community.”
