Cyber security will be the focus of the next Destination Basingstoke Ambassador Community (DBAC) event.

Following successful sessions on Money Matters and Artificial Intelligence, this third event will be held at Oakley Hall from 9am to 11:30am on Thursday, 12 September.

Titled ‘Cyber Security – how to protect your business…and yourself’, the event features a panel discussion, a Q&A session, and networking opportunities.

Tickets are available to both DBAC members and non-members, with a sign-up deadline of Friday, 16 August. For more details, visit the DBAC website.

The expert panel includes Sonal Agarwal, co-founder of RightCue Assurance; Simon Adams, managing director of PRD Technologies Limited; Chris Cooper, cyber security consultant at Rougemont Security; and Marc Woosnam, director of services at Centerprise International.

Jonathan Pender, chair of Destination Basingstoke, said: “Cyber security is definitely one of the hot topics for businesses and individuals, and we are delighted our four expert speakers will be able to give DBAC members and other guests an interesting and informative insight into this subject.”

Since its launch in February, the DBAC has grown to 60 members, with new additions each month.

The subscription-based model offers benefits worth up to £700, at half the cost of membership.

Local charities and community organisations can join for a discounted price of £180 per year plus VAT.

Jonathan added: “We are delighted to have brought the DBAC programme to fruition as we believe it has great potential to benefit the Basingstoke and Deane community and the businesses and charitable organisations that are based here.

“We are already hearing of many instances where DBAC member businesses are doing business with each other, making contact with, and supporting, DBAC member charities and community organisations, and making new connections.”
