Sumillion, the Basingstoke-based IT reseller, is getting ready to run its first-ever Sustainable Tech Fest on the 14th October.

Held at Forest Green Rovers’ New Lawn Stadium, the event will feature a variety of individuals and companies with the aim of exploring how technology can be harnessed for a sustainable future.

Sustainable Tech Fest is planning to be a mix of technology showcase, sustainability symposium and family-friendly festival, offering attendees the opportunity to discover how efficient tech solutions are driving sustainable change across various industries.

It will feature exhibitors including tech firms such as Bytes, Sumillion, Acer, InnoVent, Recycle IT and Newline, with guests able to interact with exhibitors and explore innovative and sustainable products and solutions.

In a bid to entertain guests of all ages, Sustainable Tech Fest will also feature live music and games with Forest Green Rovers mascot The Green Devil as well as magic shows, raffles and giveaways.

Guests will also have the chance to tour The New Lawn Stadium for an insight into the world’s greenest football club, as well as being given an exclusive preview of the Ecopark Stadium the club is currently building.

The festival will also make a donation to the ‘To Live in H.O.P.E.’ charity, which is on a mission to build clean drinking water wells, schools and community empowerment projects in rural Ghana.

David Manners, Sumillion CEO, said: “Sustainable Tech Fest 2023 isn’t just an event; it’s a declaration that technology and sustainability can and must coexist.

“It’s an opportunity for tech leaders, sustainability enthusiasts, and families to come together, explore innovations, and leave inspired to make a positive impact on our planet.

“As the world grapples with pressing environmental challenges, Sustainable Tech Fest 2023 is a shining example of how technology can drive positive change.

“Stay tuned for this year’s most exciting tech event, where sustainability meets innovation, and together, they’re rewriting the future.”
