It’s official – DR.VEGAN has been named supplement supplier for EFL League Two football side Forest Green Rovers.
Headed up by CEO Gordon Lott, the fast-growing business makes ethically produced vitamins, minerals and supplements from their base in Romsey.
The new deal sees them supporting the men’s, women’s and academy teams at FGR for the 2023/24 season, helping to boost player’s performance, health and wellbeing both on and off the pitch.
“This is a really exciting time for DR.VEGAN”, said Gordon.
“We recently achieved the prestigious Informed-Sport accreditation for our Bone & Muscle Support, with other products following shortly.”
As the name suggests, all DR.VEGAN products are plant-based – and although 90 per cent of their customers are, in fact, non-vegan, they’re the perfect fit for FGR.
The Gloucestershire club, chaired by Ecotricity owner Dale Vince, has been recognised by the United Nations as the world’s first carbon-neutral football club, and FIFA named them the ‘greenest team in the world’.
Gordon added: “FGR’s commitment to innovating and breaking new ground – running a professional sports team whilst remaining in harmony with the environment – is something to be admired.
“Further strengthening our nationwide presence, we’re excited to continue to build out our partnerships portfolio across professional sport and support other prestigious teams like FGR.”
Over the coming season, the DR.VEGAN team will offer their advice and expertise on everything from pre-game nutrition to post-match recovery.
The brand will also enjoy pitch-side advertising and engage directly with fans to get their name out in the local community.
Graham Eastgate, First Team Strength and Conditioning Coach at FGR, said: “From experience, we know that DR.VEGAN is a company that produces plant-based supplements of the highest quality.
“Together, we decided that UltraEnergy, which enhances focus and performance, and Bone & Muscle Support, which aids recovery, are two products we wanted to provide to the players at FGR.”
