Family of farm manager visit street named after him

The family of a farm manager who has had a close named after him in a development built on the land he used to work on, have visited the street.
Bewley Homes’ Sovereign Gate development, built on the former Berrydown farm site, was visited by the family of farm manager Joel Edelmann, who worked in the fields back in the 1960s.
His duties included rearing and milking various Ayrshire cows on the very same land that the large housing development was built on.
To honour his legacy, one street in the development has aptly been named ‘Edelmann Close’ and members of his family visited to see what has become of the land.
Only two detached homes remain available in the Sovereign Gate development in Overton, which has become one of Bewley Homes’ flagship projects.
