Maritime UK Solent logoWith just over a month to go before the Maritime UK Solent Awards come to Portsmouth, the judges have revealed their finalists across twelve toughly contested categories.

That shortlist has been whittled down by an independent panel of industry experts from more than 90 entries to just a handful hoping to be recognised this year.

Organisers have also secured sponsorship for the majority of categories, with a few spots still available.

Stuart BakerStuart Baker, Managing Director of Maritime UK Solent, said: “We’re excited to see a huge variety of organisations, including shipbuilding, talent recruitment, clean tech innovations, port operators and many more within the nominations.

“We were absolutely delighted to see such a significant increase in applications this year.

“This tells me that the industry recognises the value of coming together and celebrating our collective excellence, and the impact that winning a MUK Solent Award can have.

“There’s so much to celebrate in the maritime industry and the Solent is leading the way in shaping the future of maritime.

“It was a challenge to shortlist the finalists given the strength of applications, but we’re delighted with those who have been put forward.”

The winners will be announced during the awards ceremony at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Boathouse 7, on Thursday 5th October.
