Southampton Solent University student Ella Stubbs has won a student project competition run by Napier, taking home a £1,000 prize.
Napier, a B2B technology PR & Marketing firm with offices in the UK and United States, awarded the prize to recognise the work of an outstanding student on a project undertaken as part of either a course or work experience placement.
Entries ranged from dissertations through to group work, which had to be related to B2B PR or marketing.
Ella’s winning entry involved a two-week internship in London with deverellsmith, a global recruitment, executive search and talent sourcing firm for the property and real estate industry.
She took on a Marketing Assistant position there, producing social media ads and job posts plus search engine optimisation for the company’s website.
Napier CEO Mike Maynard said, “We are firm believers that there is a huge reservoir of untapped B2B PR and marketing talent at the university level.
“Our B2B PR and marketing industry too often misses out on drawing from this deep well of talent because, frankly, as a whole we do not promote what we have to offer very well.
“However, we can sit back and moan about young people choosing other career opportunities, or we can do something to attract them to our profession, and this is precisely our aim in recognising people like Ella.
“Hopefully, recognising Ella’s outstanding contributions to deverellsmith will serve as an inspiration to others who want to make the most of their university experience as they prepare for their future careers.”
