Some of Hampshire’s top sporting talent paid a special visit to Matrix IT’s new headquarters in Fareham.

Portsmouth FC manager John Mousinho, Hampshire Cricketers Ben Brown, Ian Holland and Ali Orr, Havant Rugby players Harrison Young and Daisy Lumsden, and United Services Rugby visited the new offices to celebrate an exciting new chapter in the 20-year-old firm’s history.

The new 3,800 square foot office was needed following continued growth for the company, which has more than doubled its number of staff since 2020, going from 25 to 51.

With a keen interest in supporting the local community, the company provides IT Managed Services and IT Security, as well as Cloud Technology to Utilita Bowl – home to Hampshire Cricket.

Catherine Richards, Partnership Manager at Utilita Bowl, said: “It was fantastic to be invited by Matrix IT and look around their stunning headquarters.

“As a Club and a venue we have long recognised the importance of investing in innovative IT solutions.

“We wish Matrix the very best of luck in their new home and look forward to watching their continued growth.”

John Mousinho said: “It was a pleasure to be invited by Matrix IT and to look around their stunning headquarters.

“Portsmouth FC has been incredibly lucky to work alongside such a passionate, local, and industry-leading business that not only enables us to operate at Fratton Park but at our training ground too, helping us to achieve our overall club vision.”

In addition to supporting Hampshire Cricket, Matrix IT is a major sponsor for Havant Rugby Football Club, supplying its IT Services.

The firm is also Portsmouth FC’s official half-time partner and sponsor of the Players’ Lounge at Fratton Park, and provides IT Support to the club at both the stadium and the training ground on Copnor Road.

Chairman Nic Cronin said: “Our business is all about giving back to the community, and what better way to do this than through the power of sport.

“We are lucky to have such a thriving community in Hampshire, and it has been our pleasure to support several teams not only through our loyal sponsorship but also by helping them with their IT needs.”

“Thank you to all our VIPs who visited us at our brand new office space. It was the perfect way to celebrate as we continue to grow a vibrant, collaborative work environment for our brilliant team.”
