Yateley-based marine innovators Sonardyne are looking to expand their reach with the appointment of MSDS Marine as their latest UK reseller.
It represents the strengthening of a years-long bond, as Sonardyne’s technology has played a crucial role in MSDS’ investigations of archaeologically significant wrecks including the London, Rooswijk, and Bronze Bell – sunk in 1665, 1740 and the 1700s respectively.
Mark James, Marine Operations and Technical Manager at MSDS, said: “We rely on technology for the majority of our underwater operations, with reliability being crucial to works in the marine environment.
“As a company we’ve used Sonardyne acoustic tracking for a number of years, tracking divers, ROVs, and geophysical equipment.
“Not only have we found the technology to be incredibly reliable and easy to use, but we’ve always been very impressed with the level of support that Sonardyne offer.
“We’re proud to be able to continue to promote the systems as a reseller, using our firsthand experience in the scientific and archaeological sector to do so.”
Duncan Rigg, Sales Manager at Sonardyne, added: “It’s great to have MSDS Marine as resellers for our shallow water USBL systems.
“It’s quite unusual to have a reseller who also uses the equipment to the extent that MSDS Marine do.
“They bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will allow them to support customers from initial enquiry through to frontline support.
“We’re delighted to have such a strong advocate on board as a reselling partner.”
