toob, the Hampshire-based full-fibre broadband provider, is stepping into Fleet with a £7.5 million investment to build its own infrastructure.
By 2024, the provider expects to cover 19,000 homes in the town with work starting in the coming weeks.
This work will see fibre optic cables run directly into homes, offering faster connection speeds than traditional broadband which delivers internet via fibre to the cabinet and then copper cables to the premises.
toob is aiming to stand out from its competitors by focusing on affordability and customer care, with the provider promising no in-contract prices rises.
Having started in Southampton, toob has recently branched out from Hampshire and Surrey into Dorset and Sussex, and recently secured £300 million in funding.
Nick Parbutt, CEO of toob, said: “We are delighted that we are going to be able to offer our service to the residents of Fleet.
“toob has been built on our belief that access to fast, reliable broadband at an affordable price is a necessity in today’s increasingly digital world.
“We are committed to delivering the fastest and most reliable service, using the latest full-fibre technology, at an affordable price.
“Customers will benefit from speeds of 900Mbps for only £25 per month on an 18 month contract, with no in-contract price rises. They can rely on toob to provide broadband that simply works.”
