Southampton Science Park plays host today to local investors and entrepreneurs as South East Angels’ Startup Roadshow arrives in the city.

Southampton Science Park logoThe event, taking place at the park’s AXIS Conference Centre in partnership with Misfit Founders, NatWest and FSE Group, offers a platform for startups to showcase their ideas and network.

It includes a competition for founders to pitch to a panel of investor judges with the hope of winning a press package, investment readiness support and the opportunity to meet with more potential investors.

Kristina PereckaiteKristina Pereckaite, director of South East Angels, said: “It’s amazing to see the magic that can happen when you bring together some of the key players in a region’s startup ecosystem – the valuable connections being made between founders, investors, and advisors, in real time.

“We discovered some fantastic startups through the roadshow series last year and are excited about who we may discover in 2024.”

As reported by Hampshire Biz News, South East Angels also came to Hampshire last October.

Biro Florin, angel investor and host of MisFit Founders Podcast, added: “I was super impressed by the quality of startups that participated in the South East Startup Roadshow last year.

“As an exited founder myself, I know how important it is to have access to the right resources and support when starting a business.

“I’m excited to see what this year’s event series has in store.”
