PortaSauna, the Portsmouth-based portable sauna business, is launching a new wellbeing-focused initiative, PortaSauna X.
Founder Jordan Boon, who launched the business earlier this year, explained that he and business partner Harry Beardsley will be organising and hosting a series of PortaSauna X events for groups to attend, relax and boost their mental wellbeing.

The initiative sees the business linking up with local groups focused on wellbeing, from wild swimming clubs to yoga groups, so attendees can combine sauna sessions with organised activities so everyone can share experiences, tackle common challenges, and celebrate successes together.
Having used social media platforms to raise awareness of PortaSauna X, the business has received interest from more than 30 groups across the UK already.
The first trial of the initiative took place at a meet-up in Southsea, which was attended by Sole Sisters, Yoga with Emily, and the Recovery Swimming Club, which are all based in the region.
Jordan said: “I’ve set up PortaSauna X to be a vibrant gathering space for like-minded enthusiasts who cherish outdoor activities and wellness.
“The plan is to bring people together through these groups to enable them to relax, boost their wellbeing, enjoy the outdoors and enjoy the benefits of a sauna.
“We hosted our first one in early June at the beach at Southsea and had an incredible day. The aim is to roll it out across the UK and we already have interest from groups in Weymouth and The Wirral in Merseyside.
“Currently there are about 30 different groups from across the country interested in being involved with PortaSauna X and it would be great to be able to bring them all together at some stage.”
PortaSauna X is continuing to look to partner with outdoor groups, including sea swimmers, mental health advocates, and outdoor fitness enthusiasts.
He added: “Our goal is to strengthen these communities by providing a space to connect and grow, enhancing the impact of each group’s activities and allowing us together to create even larger community groups.
“We do not want to take away anything from the groups, instead we want to let them use power in numbers to get heard.”
Jordan has also designed PortaSauna X apparel, where clubs can add their own logo, which is only for community members.
