Housebuilder Metis Homes has set tails wagging by opening a dog agility course.
The purpose-designed and fully enclosed facility is open to residents at its Forest Edge development in Fordingbridge.
Andy Brooks, a dog lover and representative of Fordingbridge Rotary Club, was accompanied by other owners and their furry friends, for the official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The dog agility course is accessible via a public footpath to the local community.
It sits within the grounds of the nearly sold-out new homes development with greenery and natural planting throughout.
The development consists of 63 homes with the final home available to purchase and ready to move into next month.
Among those giving the course a first test run were labrador Leonard, greyhound Honey, cavachons Lottie and Bonnie and spaniel Rolo.
David Oakley, Sales & Marketing Director at Metis Homes, said: “We are delighted to open our dog agility course at Forest Edge just in time for summer.
“Forest Edge has proven extremely popular with purchasers moving from Bournemouth and the surrounding area as, like the name suggests, it is right on the edge of New Forest with stunning walks and cycle routes on its doorstep.
“It’s no wonder many of our purchasers are dog owners who love the outdoors and so it seems fitting to include a dog agility course on the development.”
Forest Edge’s remaining property, The Elm, is a three-bedroomed family home, priced at £410,000.
Until the end of this month, Metis Homes is offering a £5,000 incentive which buyers can use to assist their purchase.
