‘We’re all about giving back’ says MD as his IT support biz extends sponsorship of two local clubs

Matrix IT is backing Hampshire sport as they confirm partnerships with both Havant Rugby Football Club (HRFC) and Portsmouth FC.

The Fareham IT support firm provides cloud solutions, connectivity, cyber security, and backup and recovery services to businesses across the South Coast – services they’ll extend to their partnered clubs.

MD Matt Faulkner said: “Our business is all about giving back to the community, and as a club that is growing all the time, Havant Rugby Club needs support more than ever.

“We also strive to make a positive and lasting impact on society, and we see this as doing our bit towards helping a local club, to support local people.”

It’s welcome news for HRFC, whose playing membership of over 700 makes them one of the largest clubs across the South of England.

Club President Jonathan Mangnall added: “It’s great to see that the success the club is having on the field is attracting local business who are passionate about supporting the local community and who also recognise the value that an association with Havant can bring.”

Meanwhile, the renewal of Matrix IT’s partnership with Portsmouth FC means they will have supported the club for more than 10 years, acting as both official half-time partner and sponsors of the Players’ Lounge at Fratton Park.

Matt added: “The club was in a very different place a decade ago, and to look back on what we’ve achieved together has been fantastic.

“At heart, the team at Matrix IT are huge Pompey fans.

“We’re at every game and to see the Matrix IT brand associated with the club is a proud moment for all of us.

“To be part of the club’s history, its growth and success is enormously fulfilling for everyone at Matrix.

“As their IT partner, their sponsor and, most importantly, as fans, we’re proud to continue our partnership.”
