The team at Churchill have been overseeing purpose-built retirement developments since the turn of the millennium from their base in Ringwood.

But evidently just as much care and attention goes into the wellbeing of their own staff, as Churchill Retirement Living has cracked the top 10 in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work among large UK organisations.

It was joined on the list by Churchill Estates Management, where two thirds of employees are over 50 – also earning Churchill the ‘Highly Commended’ Award as the Best Place to Work for Employees Aged 55+.

The company’s 700-strong workforce benefits from a wide range of perks and benefits, including free health screenings every three years and an employee assistance programme which also extends to immediate family members.

Churchill shared this year’s Sunday Times list with other top employers like Octopus Energy, David Lloyd Leisure and PizzaExpress.

Spencer J McCarthy, Chairman and CEO of Churchill Retirement Living, said: “This award is based on feedback from our own Colleagues, so I’m delighted with our Top 10 position and our special recognition as a top employer for older people.

“It’s a fantastic achievement and something every single member of the team can be proud of.

“Our strongest asset here at Churchill is our people, and I believe in looking after my team and treating them well. It’s great to see that recognised with this award.”
