‘Teamwork in action’ at The Green Gram as they host first open evening in new Fordingbridge shop

Following their recent move to larger premises, The Green Gram Community Shop in Fordingbridge have hosted an open evening for local residents.

The event was an opportunity to showcase the new setup and thank the community for the support they provided throughout the shop’s fundraising efforts over the past few months.

Launched in Spring 2022, The Green Gram helps locals reduce their dependence on single use packaging by provided refills for food, cleaning products and toiletries.

Committee member Jo Anderson said: “What a thrilling few weeks!

“Since the share launch and then with the move, it’s been all hands on deck. Real teamwork in action with friends and volunteers offering their support.

“The open evening was a resounding success, and it was great to see so many people – people who have supported the store and new customers who just wanted to get more of a feel for what we offer.”

The next event will coincide with the Fordingbridge lights switch-on, set for 1st December.

“We’ll be open for late shopping”, added Jo. “Come say hello and meet the team.”
