Lakeside North Harbour business campus in Portsmouth has secured a new tenant in running and fitness experts Alexandra Sports.

Alexandra Sports logoWith longstanding ties in Hampshire, Alexandra Sports is looking through the move to take a “significant step forward” while staying true to its local heritage.

The brand was founded in 1982 by the sporty parents of current owner Dawn Taylor, with Dawn and her brother working weekends while still in their teens.

Today, Dawn is supported by her sons Ashley and James, and the brand’s range includes quality running shoes and custom 3D-printed insoles.

Simon BatemanSimon Bateman, asset manager at Lakeside, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Alexandra Sports to our thriving community of businesses.

“As a locally cherished family-run enterprise, Alexandra Sports embodies the same commitment to health, wellbeing and community that Lakeside values.

“We look forward to seeing Alexandra Sports flourish at Lakeside as they continue to support athletes, fitness enthusiasts and the local community.”

Dawn TaylorDawn added: “Lakeside offers the perfect blend of convenience and opportunity for our business.

“Being only a mile away from our previous location means we’re staying close to our loyal customers while also tapping into a vibrant and active community that aligns perfectly with our mission.

“Lakeside’s flexible workspaces give us room to grow and innovate, all while staying true to our core values of customer care and community involvement.

“We’re also thrilled about the chance to engage in wellness initiatives.”

And they’re wasting no time in that department, as Alexandra Sports will be taking part in a group campus run with footwear brand Hoka following their official Lakeside launch on Wednesday 20 November.
