It’s also set to house a free directory for the creative industries from early next year, helping professionals promote their business or services for contract or commission work.

Bav Dhanda, Commercial and Marketing Director at Southampton Forward, said: “Southampton Forward is involved in developing diverse projects across the city.

“These initiatives celebrate Southampton’s rich heritage that is often unseen or unrecognised, such as Southampton’s history and deep connection with electronic music, from new and emerging talent to world renowned artists.”

“We want to make sure there’s a user-friendly platform for keeping the community informed about our latest initiatives and activities.

“We have some really exciting projects coming up, and the website will be the first place to go to catch up on all of our latest news.”

The charity aims to build a strong coalition of community organisations, local partners and stakeholders, all working together to drive sustainable social, economic and cultural change in Southampton.

Their mission is backed by founding partners including Arts Council England, the University of Southampton and Southampton City Council.
