Solent GP Surgery is to make a phased return to its Portswood site on Belmont Road, starting from this week.
Currently Portswood will only offer appointments with healthcare assistants and practice nurses, including blood tests, dressing changes, injections, child immunisations and smear tests.
Clinics at Adelaide and Nicholstown are to continue running GP appointments for the time being.
The return comes after the site was loaned out during the pandemic to help combat COVID-19.
Solent GP Surgery described the Portswood clinic as “well-loved” and said that it would “need a bit of attention and work done to allow us to open the site wider for more appointments”.
It looks forward to restoring the clinic to full capacity and welcoming back a limited number of patients over the coming weeks.
