Workplace tech firm champions EVs, renewables and the circular economy on its net zero journey

As more and more businesses begin plotting a path to reach net zero emissions by 2030, one firm has laid out its own green plan and some of the many measures it’s already putting in place.

Workplace technology providers Agilico employ around 500 staff and serve more than 14,000 customers from their HQ in Chandler’s Ford – one of several premises which has received new solar panels.

The firm has also invested heavily in its EV charging infrastructure to support a fleet of company cars which is 10 per cent fully electric and 50 per cent hybrid. By 2024, those numbers should be up to 100 per cent.

In terms of business practices, Agilico is working alongside sustainability leaders Circularity First, championing the circular economy as a key approach towards net zero.

Its refurbishment centre for multifunctional print devices helps extend the lifespan of electronic goods through ‘remanufacturing’, which cuts down emissions by at least 600kg of CO₂ per device – an estimated 57 per cent.

And with new office facilities opening in Team Valley Gateshead later this month, the focus has been on consolidating operations to improve operational efficiency and reduce duplication, leading to both financial and environmental savings.
