ViewHR is set to host a seminar examining the government’s newly announced employment rights bill and the challenges it presents to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).
The Changing Workplace and Employment Landscape seminar, taking place in Southampton this November, will reflect on how legislative changes will affect all employers, how they can be managed correctly and how they can benefit progressive employers.
It will also cover the new worker protection act, which requires employers to take reasonable steps to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace.
Heidi Roper is an employment law specialist and director at Ringwood-based ViewHR.
“The new employment rights bill will bring significant changes for all organisations that employ staff,” she said.
“Our job is to support SMEs as they evolve their HR policies to meet the challenge.
“We’re delighted to offer this seminar alongside our partner, Aspire Jobs, for senior HR professionals in the South.”
Helen Stacey, managing director of Aspire Jobs, added: “We see this seminar as an excellent opportunity for HR professionals in our region to be presented with a considered analysis of the changing legislation and to discuss with fellow professionals how to enact change in both recruitment and retention of employees.
“We’re pleased to be working with ViewHR in presenting the seminar.”
The event takes place at Central Hall Southampton on 12 November from 9.30am to 11.00am.
