Seven intrepid employees from Barratt Homes’ Southampton division scaled new heights for charity when they abseiled down Portsmouth’s Spinnaker Tower.
They raised £4,240 for the Saints Foundation after successfully completing the 170-metre descent, watched by a crowd of supporters.
The developer has been a supporter of the Saints Foundation for many years.
The charity of Southampton Football Club looks after several projects which are transforming the lives of people in the region.
One of the brave abseiling employees was Megan Hamlyn, Barratt Homes Marketing Manager.
“We’ve worked with Saints Foundation for a long time and have seen first-hand the work they do in the community”, she said.
“We want to continue to show our support and thought this Spinnaker Tower abseil would be the perfect fundraiser.
“It was terrifying, but knowing we were raising money for such an incredible charity made it all worthwhile.
“I’m so proud of us all.”
Barratt Homes is building new homes across the region, including at Harbour Place and Pebble Walk.
