Giggling Squid, the Thai restaurant group known for its vibrant flavours and relaxed dining atmosphere, has opened its latest branch in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth.
The restaurant is located within the Vulcan Buildings, previously home to Loch Fyne.
About 70 jobs have been created with the opening.
Founded by Pranee and Andy Laurillard with their first restaurant in Brighton, Giggling Squid now operates 51 venues across the UK.
The new Portsmouth restaurant can sit 130 guests indoors as well as 120 outdoors.
The fare on offer includes a competitively priced lunch menu, with Thai tapas sets from £12.95, as well as an all-day menu.
Main dishes include Giggling Squid’s signature Sticky Chicken (£14.95), Giggling Pad Thai (from £12.95) and Rising Star Red Duck Curry (£18.95) with star fruit, fresh pineapple and pea aubergines.
The restaurant also serves an extensive cocktail menu.

Giggling Squid is open Monday to Sunday, 12.00-22.30.
A wide takeaway menu will also be available for click & collect or telephone orders as well as delivery a few weeks after opening.
