Blake Morgan is celebrating ten years in business by donating to ten charities.
This July marks a decade since the firm was formed from the merger of Blake Lapthorn and Morgan Cole in 2014.
The firm’s offices in Southampton, Oxford, London, Reading and Cardiff have marked the anniversary with charity bake-off competitions. The winner in each location chose a charity to receive a donation from the firm.
In Southampton, Blake Morgan donated £250 to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), chosen by the office’s bake-off winner Yanna Antoniou, IT Applications Support Team Leader.
Another £250 was given to the office’s chosen charity for the year, Ben Pavitt’s Legacy of Love Fund, which supports the Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group.
To commemorate the milestone, employees were gifted eco-friendly stainless steel water bottles made from recycled materials.
The purchase of these bottles will result in the planting of more than 650 trees by Eden Reforestation Projects, a non-profit that regrows forests and rebuilds healthy ecosystems in underprivileged communities.
Blake Morgan, one of the UK’s top-performing law firms, has thrived over the past decade.
The full-service law firm supports clients across the public and private sectors, including South Coast-based businesses like Specsavers, local organisations and charities such as Solent Mind and the University of Chichester, multinational corporations like HSBC, and public sector clients including NHS England.
The firm boasts a team of over 600, with more than 83 lawyers recognised in the prestigious Legal 500 Directory in 2024. This year, it was also ranked in the Top 50 UK Employers List.
Helen Bunker, Chair at Blake Morgan, said: “I’m extremely proud to be part of Blake Morgan and of the work our team does every day. This anniversary is an important milestone for us and a chance to reflect on the successes of the last ten years.
“We’re firmly embedded in our regions and delivering fantastic work for clients, as well as playing a role in our communities including through our work with local charities.
“It’s also great to reflect on the contribution of our colleagues to our success, and we’re particularly pleased to have many long-serving colleagues, with 75 of our team having been with us for more than ten years.
“I’m proud to be part of a business where people can come and enjoy rewarding and long-lasting careers.”
