Last month’s fourth annual South Coast Commercial Property Show brought together a diverse range of industry experts, guests and exhibitors.
Together they highlighted the region’s leading place within the real estate sector, identifying challenges and opportunities unique to the South Coast.
Beverley Poole of Aspire 4 Business Academy kicked off proceedings with a speed networking session to help attendees break the ice.

Caleb Parker, host of the Work Bold podcast and founder of Bold and Brave Corporation, followed up the session with a look at the future of work and the office market.

His vision of the post-Covid office world laid out the importance of creating flexible, adaptable workspaces for fast-growing companies, with an emphasis on sustainability, cost and aligning priorities.
In fact, discussions throughout the day centred on energy efficiency in office spaces, as experts explored how landlords can strike a balance between sustainability and profits – and how commercial property law factors into ecological responsibility.
All areas of property were addressed, from the industrial market and its pockets of undersupply; to STEM and the need for commercial developments which support the region’s aerospace, defence, life science and maritime expertise; to residential, with a panel chaired by George Long of Charters.
Councillors from Southampton, Portsmouth, Eastleigh and Basingstoke also shared the latest from their constituencies and PwC gave an economy update.
