The Retrofit Academy has moved to open its tenth UK training facility right here in Hampshire under the leadership of Southampton firm SERT Training.
As the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund and Homes Upgrade Grant drive growing demand for retrofit talent, the new centre will work to plug that gap by upskilling workforces and forging new careers.
The academy awards sector-specific AIM qualifications from levels 2 to 5, enabling graduates to take up roles as retrofit advisors, assessors and coordinators.
Mark Edwards, CEO of SERT Training, said: “We’re thrilled to announce our exclusive partnership with Retrofit Academy to deliver their qualifications across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
“With our range of domestic clean heating and power courses, these qualifications will complement our offering perfectly.
“Both our organisations share the same high standards in learner experience and content quality, so alignment has been very straightforward and a lot of fun.
“We’re excited to welcome the first cohort of learners onboard in early November.”
