Remember a loved one with a hand-crafted metal forget-me-not flower says hospice charity

Create a personal and lasting tribute in memory of a loved one this summer.

That’s the message from St. Michael’s Hospice.

It’s inviting the local community to take part in its Summer Memories celebration by dedicating a hand-crafted metal forget-me-not flower as a personal and lasting tribute.

The dedicated flowers will form part of a flower installation at the Worting House in Basingstoke during a special memorial service on Sunday, 14 July.

A registered charity, St Michael’s Hospice has chosen the forget-me-not flower as this year’s symbol of Summer Memories as it signifies love, remembrance and lasting connections.

Only a limited number of forget-me-nots are available.

Dedications should be made by Monday 1 July to ensure a loved one’s name is also featured in the order of service for the Summer Memories event.

Any received after this date will still be included in the installation (subject to availability).

The celebration is open to all, regardless of whether St. Michael’s Hospice cared for a loved one.

St. Michael’s Hospice supported more than 800 people last year.

The hospice’s services are free of charge but with only 16 per cent NHS funding, St. Michael’s Hospice relies on the generosity of the community to raise the additional £15,000 per day needed to continue care.

More details of Summer Memories can be found at https://www.stmichaelshospice.org.uk/get-involved/support-us/summer-memories/

Alternatively call the fundraising team on 01256 848848 to make a dedication over the phone.
