Swedish electric performance car brand Polestar has teamed up with Snows Motor Group to launch a new retail space in Southampton. Located on Second Avenue, Millbrook, the space opened its doors to customers recently, marking a significant investment and creating up to 12 new jobs.

The new site boasts a state-of-the-art minimalist design, seamless digital interactivity, and non-commissioned product specialists, offering customers a flexible experience from the first inquiry to the delivery of their Polestar vehicle.

Test drives are available on-site, and customers can choose to have their vehicles delivered to their homes or offices.

The opening of Snows Polestar Southampton is timely, as it coincides with the upcoming launch of new models, including the Polestar 3, an electric SUV, and the Polestar 4 SUV coupe, which features advanced screen and camera technology to enhance rear visibility.

These models join the Polestar 2, the brand’s successful electric fastback with a range of up to 406 miles and a 0-60mph time as low as four seconds. Currently, there are over 27,000 Polestar 2s on the road in the UK.

Polestar’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in a 3-tonne reduction of CO2e in its manufacturing process since 2020. Each vehicle also comes with a lifecycle assessment (LCA), allowing customers to understand their car’s environmental impact.

Mark Austin, Snows’ Franchise Manager for Volvo dealerships in Southampton and Winchester, and now the Polestar space, is leading the new operation.

Mark said: “We’re very excited to have opened the doors to our new Polestar dealership in Southampton. Polestar is a very progressive brand, and it brings some fabulous models to market, including the new Polestar 3 and 4. The cars look amazing in their new space, and we’ve already experienced a huge amount of positive interest in the vehicles currently available.”

Mark also noted that Polestar cars are gaining popularity among fleet managers and company car users, particularly through salary sacrifice schemes that offer minimal benefit-in-kind tax rates and reduced overall tax bills. Servicing and maintenance will be handled by skilled technicians at Snows’ Volvo dealerships in Southampton and Winchester.
