Matrix IT is marking ten years of collaboration with Portsmouth FC, as the Fareham-based IT Managed Service Provider secures a new three-year contract with the football club.
Having been a key partner since 2014, Matrix IT’s relationship with Portsmouth FC has become an integral part of the local community, particularly as the club steps up to the EFL Championship.
The new deal strengthens this longstanding bond, ensuring the club’s IT infrastructure continues to meet evolving demands.
Matrix IT’s role has been critical in maintaining and enhancing the club’s technology, from monitoring IT systems to providing essential matchday support.
This has ensured smooth operation of key technologies such as ticketing systems and broadcasting equipment. Additionally, Matrix has helped the club achieve Cyber Essentials certification annually, bolstering its defences against cyber threats.
Darren Parker, Head of IT at Portsmouth FC, highlighted the significance of this partnership: “Matrix has become not only our IT partner but an extension of Pompey’s IT department.
“Their comprehensive IT services and strategic support have enabled the club to improve our overall IT infrastructure, meaning that we can focus more on football and less on technical issues.”
The collaboration was further celebrated with a visit from Portsmouth FC’s Head Coach John Mousinho to Matrix IT’s new offices at Cams Hall Estate.
Louise Gascoigne, Operations Director of Matrix IT, expressed her pride in the partnership: “We’re delighted to have our partnership with Portsmouth FC extended, marking ten years of working together.
“Being part of the club’s history, its development, and successes is incredibly rewarding for everyone at Matrix.”
