Lee Peck, Founder of Southampton PR firm Lee Peck Media, is keeping it in the family as he recruits daughter Frankie Peck to the business.
Frankie wraps up a 10-year tenure at the BBC, which saw her working across BBC Radio Solent, BBC South Today, and most recently Politics South.
She’ll now be responsible for the communications of clients across the South Coast – including Barratt Homes, InstaVolt, Great British Radio and the University of Southampton – as Lee Peck Media marks its 35th anniversary.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to have Frankie on board,” said Lee.
“She’s a seasoned professional, hardworking and has a great sense of humour – so important in business.
“As Senior Account Manager, Frankie will be a great asset to the team as we enter a new chapter and a new period of growth.
“The journey Frankie has taken is very similar to mine and she can now put into practice what she has learned over her long media career.
“Frankie’s understanding of the news and political agendas, together with a unique insight in the journalist’s perspective, will help to deliver maximum exposure for clients’ stories.
“She’s particularly adept at producing videos for LinkedIn, Instagram, X and Tik Tok.”
Frankie’s career in political journalism has been nothing if not eventful, spanning the EU referendum, three General Elections and the Covid pandemic.
She added: “It was a great wrench leaving the BBC, where I worked with so many wonderfully talented and warm people.
“But joining Lee Peck Media – and yes, the prospect of working alongside my dad – was just too much of an opportunity to miss.”
