The Green Gram community shop in Fordingbridge is on the move to a larger, more accessible high street location just over a year after its launch.

The Green Gram exteriorAs reported by Hampshire Biz News, the team launched their second share offer this August to fund the move, and alongside the local community they’ve managed to raise £15,000.

Since May 2022, The Green Gram has offered refills for food, cleaning products and toiletries, saving more than 25,000 containers – an equivalent 600kg plastic – from landfill.

“It’s been all hands on deck as we move the stock from our little shop into our new premises”, said Committee Member Jo Anderson.

“It was a labour of love from friends and volunteers to refurbish the new shop.
