InstaVolt opens first EV charging site in Lyndhurst

InstaVolt, the Electric vehicle (EV) charging network, has opened its first charging site in the Lyndhurst area of the New Forest. Two rapid charging stations are now available for drivers at the Forest Lodge Hotel, Pikes Hill, meaning the company now has over 1,200 chargers across the country. It plans to install 10,000 rapid chargers by 2030. “We’re delighted to bring our award-winning rapid chargers to Lyndhurst, with class-leading reliability of more than 99.9% and installations of two or more chargers at many sites,” said Adrian Keen, the CEO of InstaVolt. “EV drivers can be confident that when they arrive, they’ll find an easy to use charger, with on-site driver amenities, without having to queue. “With an extensive, fully nationwide network, EV drivers are never far away from an InstaVolt rapid charger.” There is increasing demand for charging infrastructure as there are now more than 850,000 EVs on Britain’s roads. In July this year, InstaVolt unveiled plans to plans to build the UK’s largest EV charging ‘Super Hub’ near Winchester and also revealed the appointment of experienced renewables executive Lily Coles as hub development director. InstaVolt was voted as one of Britain’s top rapid charging networks, according to Zap Map’s annual EV public charging network satisfaction survey Its chargers are powered using 100% renewable energy and the firm sys there is no need for people to sign up and no subscription required. The company owns, installs, and maintains rapid EV charging units nationwide. Land owners can earn a rental income by housing them, while EV drivers can access public charging.
