Hampshire’s Serco completes £34m European Homecare acquisition

Serco Group has acquired European Homecare (EHC), a specialist provider of immigration services to German public sector customers.

The Hampshire firm agreed to purchase EHC from Korte-Stiftung for £34 million last December – a deal it completed this week.

EHC has been delivering social services in Germany since 1989, including accommodation, medical and social care, training and education.

It now employs over 2,000 people and manages more than 100 facilities, with revenue for the year ended 31 December 2023 expected to reach £130 million.

The acquisition is set to widen the reach and capability of Serco’s international immigration services platform, which already operates across the UK, Europe and Australia.

“There are complex and growing requirements for immigration and asylum seeker support services globally, and we have a strong track record of providing high standards of service underpinned by our commitment to ensuring that service users are treated with care and respect.”
