InstaVolt, the UK’s largest rapid EV charging network, has seen a change in leadership as Adrian Keen steps down after more than seven years as chief executive.

As the Hampshire company gears up for its next phase of growth, Delvin Lane has been named CEO in his place.

Delvin brings to the role 26 years of senior management experience in the energy service and energy efficiency sectors.

He joins InstaVolt from changepoint operator eEnergy Group, where he was MD of energy management.

eEnergy originally acquired Utility Team, where Delvin served as CEO, and in turn was acquired this January by DCC plc – meaning Delvin has led two successful buyouts.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the market leader at this exciting time in the company’s growth”, he said.

Adrian Pike, chair of InstaVolt, added: “Delvin brings with him invaluable experience of the energy sector.

“Combined with his track record of delivering high growth for companies, this will prove invaluable as InstaVolt embarks on its next chapter of expansion in home and international markets.

“I’d also like to thank Adrian for his commitment and hard work over many years, which has delivered a pipeline of more than 16,000 chargers to fulfil the company’s goal to be the largest CPO in Europe.

“He leaves his post with InstaVolt in great shape having just installed a record number of rapid chargers in the first quarter of 2024.”

Adrian Keen will remain with the business as a senior advisor, guiding its international development.

InstaVolt plans to install 11,000 rapid chargers in the UK and Ireland, as well as another 5,000 across Spain and Portugal and more than 300 in Iceland.
