Husband-and-wife business partners James and Helen Mitchell are the founders of independent gift and lifestyle brand Fig & Fox, and together they’re celebrating the launch of two outlet stores this year.
The new locations in Romsey and Basingstoke come amidst a flurry of activity for the business, what with the recent release of their ‘personalisation station’ and an upcoming residency at the Winchester Christmas Market later this year.
The Basingstoke outlet is being leased by Fig & Fox from September to January, with Helen describing the venue as a ‘long-term pop-up shop’.
Both shops will offer a full range of products, and the Basingstoke branch will also include a market featuring some of the best food and drink from the local area.
James said: “It feels like a wild card choice, but we feel there’s a space for us in a large scale commercial setting.
“We’re excited to showcase individual, exciting and design-led products to a wide audience. The large footfall allows us to place larger orders with our local suppliers, which helps them plan ahead and have a little more financial security.
“We’ve spent the last few months planning for Christmas and are about to embark on our busiest month of preparations to date.
“Our studio, which is based above the Romsey shop, will be working flat out to fulfil the enormous orders for the new outlets. We have a long list of products to create, from our own greetings card range to bottled bath salts.”
Fig & Fox also have an online presence, with the company’s website offering free delivery on certain purchases.
