Hazel Anderson-Turner, a business psychologist and mindset coach from Winchester, has published her new book – Coaching Through Burnout.
Released through Southampton’s Unbound Press, which works primarily with female authors, the book provides a practical guide for leaders to navigate the growing epidemic of workplace stress and exhaustion.
Hazel writes from experience after experiencing her own burnout while working in the public sector.
Since then, she’s dedicated her career to helping leaders and teams build resilience and maintain a healthy work-life balance.
With 15 years of experience, Hazel has worked with a range of service providers and large corporations, including Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, the NHS and Facebook.
“Burnout affects all people across all industries,” she said.
“It’s time we start addressing it at both the individual and systemic level.
“My hope is that this book will provide leaders and teams with the tools and mindset shift needed to prioritise wellbeing and prevent the devastating consequences of burnout.”
The book begins with Hazel’s candid account of her own burnout before laying out the importance of clear communication and collective boundary setting.
Finally, Hazel leverages her own expertise in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to outline three key personal skills for managing the factors that contribute to burnout.
