Celebrating empowerment: Strong Female Lead event makes triumphant return for 2024

Strong Female Lead is returning for International Women’s Day 2024.

The event, held at The Grand Southampton, will take “Empowering Women in Male-Dominated Industries” as its theme, with the aim of inspiring and empowering women navigating careers in traditionally male-dominated industries, and offering a wealth of networking opportunities.

It features a line-up of trailblazing women whose achievements and resilience serve as inspiration:

• Marieanne Spacey-Cale MBE: With an illustrious career including 91 caps for England’s Lionesses and serving as the Head of Women’s & Girls Football at Southampton Football Club, Spacey-Cale embodies the spirit of perseverance and excellence.
• Elaine Harding MIRP CertRP: From chance encounters to transformative journeys, Harding’s story of resilience and determination following her meeting with Dame Wendy Hall at a previous Strong Female Lead event promises to ignite sparks of inspiration.
• Dr. Sally Louden: As an advocate for women’s health and well-being, Dr. Louden will lead discussions on menopause, shedding light on an often overlooked aspect of women’s lives.
• Sarina Mann: With her expertise in public speaking and communication, Mann will empower attendees to command attention and make their voices heard in any setting.

The event will also include a panel event featuring Charli Edwards, Cavendish, Rachel Lacklison from Kingsbridge Estates, Emily Taylor Partner, Dutton Gregory Solicitors, Melanie Phillips from Gleeds, Lauren Haines from Elliotts Builders Merchant, Nadia Ashley from Solent Power, and Katerina Spaull, Jubb.

Hosted by South Coast CPS duo Nella Pang and Lucy Richmond, the event aims to inspire, educate and support women on their professional journey through insightful discussions, workshops and networking opportunities.
