Teams from CBRE’s Southampton, Bristol, Oxford, and Birmingham offices laced up their trainers to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity.
Nearly 50 employees took part in a sponsored 9.5-mile walk along the Avon Canal, raising over £1,320 for the charity. This marks part of CBRE’s wider two-year partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, aimed at boosting support for people living with dementia.
The money raised will go directly towards initiatives such as the Citizens Advice Benefits Service, the Diversity and Inclusion Fund, and various other essential services.
These services aim to provide vital support for underserved communities, increase financial aid, and offer companion calls to combat the isolation often felt by those impacted by dementia.
Tej Singh, Head of CBRE Southampton, said: “Dementia doesn’t just affect individuals; its impact ripples out to families, friends, and communities.
“Many of our colleagues are already personally involved with fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society, so we were thrilled to bring our teams together across the Midlands and South region for such an important cause.”
